Music is the language which everyone understands across the world and it is said that person without interest in Literature, Art and Music is like an animal.

With an aim of making music a way of life, Sangeet- Sarita Music Centre was established in 2004 at Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh by making music a divine intervention for the disciples of Music. Center provides a high quality vocal training of classical music, semi classical music, light music, Tabla, Harmonium along with other musical instruments. Like any other profession, music too demands hard work, attention and most importantly passion which can be summarized in 3 D’s; DEDICATION, DETERMINATION & DISCIPLINE. Sangeet Sarita Music Centre motivates and encourages its student to follow 3 D’s principle and do their best in their musical journey.

How can students do their best in Music?

Knowledge is very important to excel in the field of music and Sangeet Sarita Music Center provides it to the students in its regular classes. Apart from knowledge, Riyaz (practice) is another important factor for any student who is willing to learn and make his/her career in music. To be specific its not only Riyaz but regular Riyaz which makes an music artist perfect.

How Sangeet Sarita Music Center supports students in their musical journey?

1. ”SANGEET GOSTHI”– Sangeet Sarita Music Centre organizes monthly classical events, called ”SANGEET GOSTHI” in which students perform and learn to improve their performances in any kinds of singing or instrumental performance.
2. ”TRAIMASIK PROGRAM”– Center also organizes quarterly series of ”TRAIMASIK PROGRAM” in which students give their Classical and Light performances. Students learn how to stand before the audience, how to hold mike, how to coordinate with orchestra, how to face audience and embrace the fear of stage performance.
3. SPECIAL EVENT “VASANTOTASAV”-Center organizes annual event known as ”VASANTOTSAV” in which all the students participate in performance like Group performances, Light  performances, semi classical performances, Classical performances and many more. Since the event is organized in the month of Vasant (king of all the  seasons which generally falls in the month of Feb-March) hence event has been named as “VASANTOTSAV”. Vasantotav is one of the biggest event of not only Muzaffanagar but also of nearby cities which is being organized since 2005 onwards continuously.
4. Vocal- Students are taught basic and advance vocal training by Sangeet Guru Pandit Dilip Kumar Mishra who has committed his entire life to learnings of music and sharing his experiences with students and music lovers. Having 20 years of experience in Vocal and instrumental teachings.
5. INSTRUMENT LEARNING (TABLA)– Out of many instruments available, Tabla is one of the most popular rhythmic instruments and used mostly in all kinds of music like singing, instrumental and all types of classical dances. Sangeet Sarita Music Centre provides a special training of Tabla. It organizes quarterly workshops in which many famous artists of National and International level teaches Tabla to the Sangeet Sarita Music Center students. There are many students of Center who are doing very well in the field of Tabla playing.
6. Key Board–  Orchestra is wonderful part of music in which all the instruments are played together in coordination so that it creates soothing and melodious sound and key board plays an important role. Actually, without key board we cannot imagine Orchestra. Sangeet Sarita Music Centre does teach Key Board “Western Style” with Staff Notation to all the interested students. A high level workshop too organized every month by noteworthy and prestigious names in this field who guide keyboard students and assess their overall improvement.

The objective of such events to provide our students a regular learning platform so that they can evaluate themselves, understand the gaps, take corrective action with help of Center’s regular classes and become a better performer by each passing day. Center prepares its students with blend of practical and best of theories of music which encompasses micro undJerstanding of music. The centre has a healthy environment of musical education in which student learns music very well. Centre prepare to the students for competitive exams like as KVS, NVS, NET including many states and national level exams. Sangeet Sarita prepares students for  “SANGEET PRABHAKAR, SANGEET VISHARAD,  SANGEET PRAVEEN”, B.A, M.A degree in Music as per universities curriculum.

A large number of Center students are serving the field of music not only from career point of view but also contributing to society as a good citizen. The Center has a great placement record in the field of music as there are many students who are working as music teachers, artists in various schools/collages/academies/organizations of Muzaffarnagar and neighboring cities leading a purposeful and happy life.
